Deeskon360: Solving Campus Service Chaos in Nigeria

Deeskon360: Solving Campus Service Chaos in Nigeria - TechBlit coverage of StartUp
Deeskon360 is a new digital marketplace built for students across Nigerian universities.

When Damilare and his friends’ car broke down on their way from Lagos to Ibadan, it took over three hours to find a mechanic. They had to call someone all the way from Lagos, wait by the roadside, and hope the person could actually fix it. That single experience sparked a bigger idea: what if there was a platform where people could instantly find reliable service providers nearby instead of depending on random recommendations or luck?

Deeskon360

That thought became Deeskon360, a new digital marketplace built for students across Nigerian universities. Unlike Jiji, which focuses on products, Deeskon360 focuses entirely on services, from barbers, tutors, and tailors to phone repairers and beyond. The goal is simple: make it easier for students to find trusted services on or around their campus without stress.

Finding the right people for daily needs can be a struggle for many students, especially freshers just settling into university life. Most depend on word-of-mouth or social media, which often leads to uncertainty and disappointment. Damilare and his team wanted to change that. “We realized students had to rely on luck and referrals, which aren’t always trustworthy,” he explained. “We wanted to build something that makes getting reliable help as easy as ordering food online.”

While existing apps like Workmann connect people to local artisans, Deeskon360 takes a different route, focusing on university campuses, where the need for trusted, verified service providers is strongest. The app allows students to access services around them with confidence and convenience.

The process is simple. There are two main users on the app: service providers and clients. For service providers, the onboarding process is designed to be quick but secure. They register, fill in basic information, select their service category, and complete a verification process using their NIN or student ID along with a live selfie for real-time identity confirmation. Each listing is manually verified by the Deeskon360 team to ensure it’s legitimate before going public.

For users, once registered, they can browse through categories of services and instantly find providers close to them. The platform uses location-based technology to filter results and show only the nearest options. After paying a small connection fee, users can contact the verified provider directly and get the service they need.

Beyond convenience, Deeskon360 was built with trust at its core. Every provider is verified using national identification and live image capture to prevent impersonation or fraud. Users can also rate and review providers after receiving a service, helping others make informed choices. “Unlike social media, where anyone can pose as a service provider, we make sure every business on Deeskon360 is verified before going live,” Damilare said.

But the app isn’t just helping users, it’s empowering small service providers, too. Many students already run side businesses on campus but struggle to reach a wider audience. Deeskon360 gives them visibility, credibility, and access to more customers for free. “We help them reach a wider audience without spending on ads,” Damilare noted. “It’s like a digital marketplace right inside your university.”

The team recently launched a pilot at Ignatius Ajuru University (IAU) and received positive feedback from both students and providers. Many were impressed by how easy it was to find verified services nearby, something that had always been a challenge. The next step is to expand to more campuses, starting with Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) and several others. Their goal is to reach at least 80% of Nigerian universities before scaling to the major cities.

In the next two to three years, the team hopes Deeskon360 will be active across at least ten campuses, becoming a household name among students nationwide. The long-term vision is bold, to take over Nigeria’s service marketplace ecosystem, starting from the grassroots of university life.

If successful, Deeskon360 could transform how students live and interact on campus. Instead of asking around or scrolling endlessly on social media, they’ll have a reliable place to find whatever service they need, all verified, reviewed, and just a few taps away. In a world where trust is hard to find, Deeskon 360 might just be the app that changes how students connect, work, and live.
