FG Is Paying Fresh Graduates ₦150K Monthly to Work. Are You Eligible?
If you graduated recently and have been wondering when your first real opportunity will come, the federal government just answered that question.
If you finished university or polytechnic, completed your NYSC and have been sitting at home wondering when something real will finally happen for you, this article is specifically for you.
The Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Programme, commonly called NJFP, is a federal government initiative funded by the European Union and implemented by the United Nations Development Programme.
In plain terms, it is a programme that pays fresh Nigerian graduates ₦150,000 every single month for twelve months while they gain real work experience inside public and private sector organisations across the country.
It is not a training stipend or a one-off allowance. One hundred and fifty thousand naira monthly for a full year, while you build your career.
What NJFP Actually Does
The programme exists because Nigeria has a very specific problem. Thousands of graduates finish school every year with solid qualifications and zero workplace experience. Most job vacancies require experience. You cannot get experience without a job. That cycle has swallowed too many talented young Nigerians whole.
NJFP breaks that cycle by placing graduates inside real organisations where they do real work, build real skills and leave with something a certificate alone cannot give them, a professional track record.
The current phase, NJFP 2.0, is targeting 23,724 fellows placed across all 36 states and the FCT, with approximately 925 fellows deployed per state. That nationwide spread means this is not a Lagos-only opportunity. A graduate in Port Harcourt, Uyo, Enugu or Calabar has an equal shot.
Who Can Apply
You must be a Nigerian citizen aged 30 or below. You must hold a minimum of Second Class Lower for a degree or Upper Credit for an HND, from any discipline, and must have graduated no earlier than 2022. You must have completed NYSC or hold an exemption certificate, and you must be currently unemployed.
The application is completely free. No agent, no website and no individual should ask you for money at any point in this process. If anyone asks you to pay to apply, that is a scam.
How to Apply
Visit the official portal at NJFP.NG and begin your application. You will need your degree certificate, NYSC discharge or exemption letter, your NIN slip and your CV.
You will also be required to submit a 60-second video answering the question: What makes you the ideal NJFP fellow?
Keep it under 60 seconds and under 10 megabytes, or your submission will be disqualified automatically.
