Port Harcourt is preparing to host one of Africa’s most anticipated business gatherings as Make in Nigeria returns for its 15th Annual Conference & Exhibition, taking place from 22–27 September 2025 at The Autograph Event Center, GRA, Rivers State. What began as a platform to promote Nigerian-made products has grown into a powerful institution shaping the country’s innovation story, and this year promises to be its most transformative edition yet.

Make in Nigeria 2025

For 14 years, the Make in Nigeria project has brought together entrepreneurs, innovators, government leaders, and industry stakeholders to rethink how businesses are built and scaled. Through its TMG model (Think, Make, Grow), the initiative has trained over 100,000 individuals, restructured businesses for sustainability, and helped Nigerian startups evolve into SMEs with global reach. Exhibitors have reported impressive sales growth after showcasing their work, while others have transitioned into international export ventures, cementing the platform’s role in raising the standard of Nigerian enterprise.

The 2025 edition is themed “The Fusion – A Tech and Agro Expo,” reflecting a deliberate focus on how technology can be integrated into traditional industries, particularly agriculture. For a country like Nigeria, where farming remains one of the largest employers of labour and a cornerstone of the economy, embracing digital innovation has become more than an opportunity; it is an urgent necessity. The fusion of technology with agribusiness is already reshaping how food is produced, distributed, and consumed, and the Make in Nigeria stage is positioning itself as the hub where these solutions come to life.

At the centre of this year’s programme is the Make in Nigeria Agrithon 2025, an Agri-Tech innovation challenge designed to unlock bold and scalable solutions to some of Nigeria’s most pressing agricultural problems. Innovators between the ages of 18 and 40 are invited to present ideas that tackle issues like post-harvest food loss, smart logistics, market access, digital financial inclusion for farmers, and climate-smart farming practices. Finalists will pitch their solutions live during the conference, competing for a ₦1 million prize as well as mentorship and access to investors. Beyond the competition, the Agrithon reflects a bigger vision: to fuel innovation, feed the future, and create a new generation of agripreneurs who can drive Nigeria’s food security agenda while also building globally relevant businesses.

The week-long conference will bring together voices from technology, agriculture, and policymaking in a blend of keynotes, panels, exhibitions, and networking. Participants can expect not just conversations but also hands-on training, mentorship, and real opportunities to connect with investors and international markets. True to its tradition, the event also balances business with entertainment, featuring live performances, cultural showcases, and the Make in Nigeria Excellence Awards on 28 September, where trailblazers driving change in business and innovation will be celebrated.

What sets this year apart is the clarity of its focus. The Make in Nigeria initiative has always been about building businesses that can think, create, and grow. But with technology increasingly driving global economies, the spotlight on Agri-Tech acknowledges both the urgency and the opportunity. For Nigeria, digital innovation in agriculture is a pathway to tackling food insecurity, creating sustainable jobs, driving exports, and transforming rural livelihoods. It is a future where tradition meets technology, and where local ambition can translate into global relevance.

After 15 years of impact, Make in Nigeria has proven that entrepreneurship, when given the right tools and environment, can change the trajectory of individuals, communities, and even the nation. The 2025 edition is both a celebration of that journey and a bold step forward, weaving together Nigeria’s innovation tapestry in ways that promise to resonate far beyond the country’s borders.

Make in Nigeria 2025 is not just another conference. It is the place where ideas meet opportunity, where innovation fuels tradition, and where Nigeria continues its march toward a future of global relevance.
