OneDosh has introduced a Stripe-powered instant onramping experience that lets eligible users fund their USD wallets with a debit card and immediately access supported services within the OneDosh ecosystem, according to a launch announcement reported by BusinessDay and shared via the company's official channels.

The move directly targets wallet funding friction, collapsing the steps between onboarding and transacting. The company frames the feature with a simple proposition: "Fund your wallet. Start transacting." In practice, BusinessDay reported that eligible users can instantly fund their OneDosh USD Wallet using their debit card and immediately access the full OneDosh ecosystem.

OneDosh is a Nigerian fintech startup whose product suite, as detailed by the BusinessDay report, includes cross-border payments, virtual and physical cards, USD balances, and international transfers. The new onramp is designed to feed directly into that universe, removing a persistent pain point for African users seeking dollar-denominated financial products.

The infrastructure underneath the launch is Stripe's crypto onramp product. Stripe's documentation describes an application-based system that handles KYC, payments, fraud, and compliance within the onramp flow itself. "Stripe handles all the KYC, payments, fraud, and compliance, removing the need to integrate multiple third-party services," the company states in its onramp overview. Stripe's embedded onramp and hosted onramp options are in public preview, with the embedded product available in the EU and the US, excluding Hawaii, per the quickstart guide. Stripe's initial fiat-to-crypto onramp launch, announced earlier, initially targeted US-based consumers. With subsequent expansion, "Stripe now offers two implementation options for its onramp."

The partnership lands inside a broader push by Stripe into stablecoin and crypto-adjacent infrastructure, including a recent stablecoin-related payments arrangement with Ramp reported by the company. For the Nigerian and wider African fintech landscape, the OneDosh launch signals continued appetite for global payment rails that can reduce failed card payments, onboarding drop-off, and settlement delays that routinely frustrate cross-border transactions.

The launch disclosure did not include a specific date, user count, or funding amount, and no regulatory filing for this specific product was publicly available at the time of writing.
