He Lost Everything in the Bear Market and Built Onscript Anyway.

He was one of the only Africans and the youngest person to get Ethereum Foundation funding. Then the bear market arrived and stripped everything back. He built again anyway.

There is a quote Mr Ateh keeps close.

People do not remember what you told them but how you made them feel.

It was that belief that drove him into video production four years ago, making cinematic content for Web3 companies, landing his first internship with Code Ambassadors and learning everything about how visual storytelling works in the blockchain space. But before Onscript, there was something else. A content agency called Cinematic Streak.

The Chapter Before Onscript

Cinematic Streak was built to solve a specific problem Mr Ateh kept seeing in the Web3 world. Companies in the blockchain space had big ideas but weak visual communication.

Nobody was training creators to make cinematic, high-quality videos specifically for Web3 audiences. He decided to build that training infrastructure himself.

The agency ran two cohorts and trained over 30 creators. It was also accepted into the Ethereum Foundation funding programme, making Mr Ateh one of the only Africans to receive that backing and, at the time, one of the youngest people anywhere to get in. That network of 30 trained creators would later become one of the most valuable assets he had when the next chapter began.

Then the Bear market hit. Crypto prices collapsed and Companies cut budgets.

BasedCreators, the content agency he had been leading on Base, stopped paying creators when the Base app stopped its creator payment programme. Income dried up. The work stopped and Mr Ateh lost his job.

Most people would have paused longer than he did.

What Onscript Is

Onscript is a cross-posting platform built for content creators and business owners who are tired of manually reformatting their content for every social media platform they post on. Every platform has its own video format, its own caption requirements and its own audience behaviour. Onscript understands all of that and handles the reformatting automatically, letting creators publish once and reach everywhere without copying and pasting.

The first phase was built specifically for Web3 creators, connecting X and the Base ecosystem into one seamless posting workflow. It was vibecoded, meaning AI-assisted development tools were used to bring the product to life rapidly without a large engineering team behind it.

The Launch and What Happened Next

On June 5, 2026, Onscript demo launched. The 30 plus creators Mr Ateh had trained through Cinematic Streak became the engine that drove the launch, sharing the product across their own audiences and helping it scale from day one. That network, built years before Onscript even existed, turned out to be the most important infrastructure the startup had.

The results were immediate. Onscript crossed 500 users. Contracts have been signed and the platform is currently free to use and accessible at app.onscript.xyz.

The startup was then accepted into the Aya HQ x Lisk Incubation Programme, Africa's largest blockchain incubation programme, which has graduated 50 startups from 34 African countries and helped them collectively raise over $500,000. The programme runs in partnership with Lisk, a Layer 2 blockchain built on Ethereum, and provides startups with grants, mentorship and ecosystem support.

The journey from Ethereum Foundation grantee to bear market casualty to 500-user demo launch is not a straight line. It never is. But Mr Ateh's perspective on it has not shifted. As he stated;

"Every setback is an avenue for a massive comeback. It changed my perspective."
